Still sunny - just!

Soldier Music Box - new for 2012!
Hello and welcome back!  We have been enjoying some very pleasant weather; indeed, some of team Ballyhoo still are - in a Tuscan retreat no less, lucky lucky lucky!  Hope everyone has been enjoying the Olympics - what fantastic coverage and events whether you were physically there or watching from a comfy sofa, the atmosphere surrounding this huge event has been electric!  This has, of course, not deterred us from posting out your gorgeous goodies and although it does seem a little way off, people are already getting to grips with their Christmas shopping.  In addition to taking delivery of giant toy parcels, we have been very busy planning for our forthcoming shows - more of that soon.  Until then, enjoy some more peace and quiet before the great school return in a couple of weeks!

Summer

Hello again everyone, hope you are well and have not yet given up on the chance of some summery weather this year!  If you are looking for some different ways to entertain your children, our brand new magnetic design sets could be just right!  We have an array to choose from - construction, robots, monsters, fairies, and funny faces to name but a few and can we say, they are fantastic toys and particularly good for the holiday season since they are magnetic and very portable in their beautiful tins.

We like to think of them as magnetic fuzzy felt!  From the same Mudpuppy range we also have some equally gorgeous 100-piece puzzles in a tin from dinosaurs to princesses.

Another stunning retro game for Ballyhoo is Rhymo Dominoes which is incredibly good value both educationally and money-wise. Fans of our puppet kits will also be very pleased to see that we have added a witch, skeleton, owl, monkey and girl to our fantastic selection.  Come along and visit Ballyhoo soon for all your gifts and treats!

5 and a half weeks

The puppies are growing by the second it seems and we have to be very careful where we walk these days as, being tiny and their field of vision low to the ground, they find our feet fascinating and chase us all over the kitchen and outside, believe us when we say it is hilarious!  The darker of the two is called Meg and her sister is Lola - great names we think and they are every so slightly beginning to respond to being called.

Have a look at our photos to see the cuties, as well as this beautiful shot of a double rainbow over Brick Kiln Farm, whilst there may not be a pot of gold at the end there is treasure - in the form of our gorgeous traditional wooden toys!

Off exploring!

Here's looking at you.

Where are the wooden toys?

All tuckered out!

New Arrivals

Meet our new arrivals!  Florrie delivered two absolutely gorgeous chocolate brown girl puppies last week and, as you can imagine, there has been much ooing and aaahing at Ballyhoo.  Both Florrie and her 'twins' are doing very well and the puppies are putting on oodles of weight and it almost seems possible to see them growing each minute!  Tamsin has been keeping a close eye on all three which has resulted in quite a lot of disrupted sleep but she is looking forward to normal arrangements resuming very soon.  Have a look at these pics, you simply will not be able to resist cooing.....

Ballyhoo lady-in-waiting

Yes yes yes, it's true, darling Florrie had her scan today and she is 'in pup'.  The youngest Ballyhoo doggy is going to be looking after some new four-legged friends in just a few weeks!

We are not really sure how much work is going to get done from mid-March so we are making sure we have everything up-to-date and are busy getting our diary in order for all our forthcoming fairs.  We have been to the Toy Fair and will soon be adding lots of new lovely toys so keep a look out on the website.  So far we have had a good dollop of snow which hasn't really thawed yet so it's pretty icy here at the farm but, hopefully, it will ease up for half-term and we can start to look forward to spring.

We will be back in touch soon to keep you posted on Florrie's progress!
